We care for USC

The Office of Professionalism and Ethics maintains high standards for the university, assures response, and assists the community with access to support and resources.

USC’s Office of Professionalism and Ethics (OPE) is a specialized team that connects Trojans to university partners to provide them with reporting options, equal access to care, and resources. We support other university offices that are charged with implementing university policies and legal or regulatory obligations by providing timely information and resources.

Coordination

Upon receipt, our team thoroughly reviews reports for immediate action and assures each report is routed to the appropriate USC office for response and resolution.

Connection

With careful attention to topics of a sensitive nature or in which more assistance may be needed, we connect reporting parties to supporting services.

Training

We also serve as an educational partner for the USC community with trainings on compliance and policies relating to conduct and reporting obligations.

What to expect after a report is made

When you make a report through the USC Report & Response website, you will receive acknowledgment of your report, and you will be connected to the appropriate office to learn about available resources, support, and effective resolution options.

Your reporting options

USC is committed to creating an environment in which our community feels safe, heard, and protected.

The USC Report & Response website provides a simple and easy-to-use portal for reporting conduct in violation of university policies or Unifying Values. Reports may be made anonymously.

The university is committed to maintaining the privacy of those who come forward. The university prohibits retaliation against anyone who makes a good faith report or formal complaint.
